2023 AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals

For the first time in its history, the NHRA started the season in Gainesville, Florida at Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Many of the professional teams used the week prior to the race to test and their performances reflected the gains realized by putting in that extra work. Claiming season opening wins were Mike Salinas in Top Fuel, Matt Hagan in Funny Car, Troy Coughlan Jr in Pro Stock and Gaige Herrera in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
