2024 NHRA Amalie Oil Gatornationals

Several Louisiana racers had a good outing at the 2024 Amalie Oil Gatornationals. Raceland’s Holden Laris claimed the title in Super Comp and Kenner’s Darian Boesch raced to a runner up finish in Top Sportsman. Kalitta Motorsports enjoyed their first ever Top Fuel – Funny Car double as Shawn Langdon and JR Todd took home the wins. The Erica Enders train just kept rolling as she qualified #1 and won the race. As with Enders, Gaige Herrara picked up where he left off last season with a domination performance in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Holden Laris of Raceland claimed yet another “Wally”, winning the Super Comp title over Brad Plourd of Holly Pond, AL.
Jarrod Granier of Labadieville drove his ’08 Chevy to a quarterfinal finish in Comp Eliminator
Kenner’s Darian Boesch raced to a runner up finish in Top Sportsman.
After qualifying #2, Wayne Landry from St. Bernard bowed out of Top Dragster competition in the second round.
Metairie’s L.E. Tonglet returned to the NHRA tour in fine fashion, qualifying #3 with a 6.77 – 197mph run followed by a semi-final finish.
Hall of Famer Tony Stewart made his Top Fuel debut with a 3/72 – 310 mph run that was good enough for the #9 qualifying position.
Erica Enders continued her dominance of the Pro Stock class, claiming her first ever Gatornationals title.
J.R. Todd brought home the Funny Car title with a 3.88 – 329 mph win over Austin Prock
Gaige Herrara crushed the Pro Stock Motorcycle field, picking up where he left off from his 2023 World Championship season.
Shawn Langdon complete the Kalitta Motorsports double by taking home the Top Fuel title with a 3.71 – 335mph win over Billy Torrence
Fan favorite Clay Millican signing autographs for his legion of fans.
Angelle Sampey raced to a second round finish in Top Alcohol Dragster.
