With high temperatures reaching 105 degrees on each of the three days of competition, racers and fans alike had to deal with some very challenging conditions. At the end of the weekend, Ron Capps recovered from a massive engine explosion in the second round at Firebird Motorsports Park to go on to defeat Spencer Hyde in the final round to earn his 78th career win, Shawn Langdon grabbed the Top Fuel title, Dallas Glenn picked up another win in Pro Stock and Justin Bond took home the Wally in Pro Mod.
